ExperiencePlus! and KUNC Award “Bike Across Italy” Tour

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – In support of KUNC’s (Community Radio for Northern Colorado) mission, “to cultivate the mind and spirit, to inform, inspire, and entertain, and to strengthen community,” award-winning bicycle tour operator, ExperiencePlus!, donated a tour to the January 2015 membership and fund-raising drive.

Congratulations to the lucky winner, a dedicated KUNC supporter since 2001, who will embark on her inaugural trip outside of the United States with ExperiencePlus! on the shorter version of their signature Bike Across Italy tour, Venice to Florence, later this year. Highlights of this classic itinerary, steeped in Italian custom and culture, include:

·        Gentle, rolling terrain suitable for all levels of cyclists

·        Lunch at the Malpezzi family farm and European headquarters

·        Florence, with its magnificent architecture and Michelangelo’s David

·        The medieval walled-city of Lucca

·        The leaning tower of Pisa

·        Tuscany's scenic countryside of fertile vineyards and olive groves

·        Romantic Venice

·        Gourmet locally-sourced cuisine and regional wines

ExperiencePlus! was honored to contribute to the unprecedented success of this event. With the generous support of the Northern Colorado community, KUNC broke new records for membership and monetary contributions:

·        Participation by 25% above the projected number of donating members

·        29% increase in monetary gifts above the targeted goal

·        The highest percentage of new and newly returning members to date, 50%
