Incline Village, NV (May 24, 2016) – Ed Viesturs, best-selling author and extreme adventure mountaineer, will share gripping stories about his life-and-death mountain expeditions in a talk called "No Shortcuts To The Top" to be presented at the Chateau in Incline Village on Monday, June 20th, 2016.

Viesturs is the only American to have summited all of the world’s fourteen 8,000-meter peaks without supplemental oxygen, the only American to do so. The author of four gripping books, Viesturs was the key figure in the IMAX Everest Expedition documentary, has conquered Everest seven times and was named National Geographic’s 2005 Adventurer of the Year.

At 3:30 p.m., there is a private cocktail party and a meet-and-greet with Ed Viesturs at a private home for VIP ticket holders. Doors open at the Chateau at 5:15 p.m. for an opportunity to preview the silent auction and raffle items, which include trips to Nepal and Ecuador, airline flight vouchers, ethnic jewelry and textiles, high performance outdoor clothing, ski packages and more.  Complimentary light snacks and a cash bar are available. The lecture begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by an exclusive dinner hosted at a lakeview home for VIP ticket holders.

Tickets for the lecture only are $30 per person in advance and $35 per person after June 10. VIP tickets for the private cocktail party and lecture with reserved seating are $150 per person.  VIP tickets for the cocktail party, lecture and exclusive dinner are $350 per person. Seating is limited so RSVP by June 10th, 2016.
