CHICAGO — Following an internal review TUI Travel PLC Activity Sector is to consolidate its back office systems in its three North American distributors of adventure travel products. To support future growth, iExplore, the number 1 ranked website for adventure and experiential travel and the Adventure Centre, both based in the USA, and Trek Holidays in Canada, will assume a central management structure.
As a result, Dallyce Macas, currently head of Trek Holidays, becomes President and CEO of the combined operations, which are to be known as Adventure Distribution - North America. Dallyce will continue to be based out of Toronto. In addition, Todd McClamroch, currently President and CEO of iExplore, is appointed to the newly created position of Executive Vice President - IT & e-Commerce, and will continue to be based out of Chicago.
“We believe a more coordinated approach to managing our distribution capability in the USA and Canada will ensure that we will capitalise on the outstanding growth potential that exists in the North American adventure travel market. The combined business will be ideally placed to promote TUI Travel’s leading range of global adventure experiences including the brands Quark, iExplore, Country Walkers, International Expeditions, Zegrahm and Exodus, as well as a complementary selection of products sourced from trusted third parties“, commented Colin Stump, Managing Director of TUI Travel PLC’s Adventure Division.
