Jessica Pociask, Owner of WANT Expeditions, Receives High Praise as Travel Expert

Taking the World by Storm, Here’s Why You Should be Traveling with WANT Expeditions Right Now

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.— Having seen a recent influx in adventure travel bookings, the travel industry has become flooded with tour operators promising the most unique of experiences, but no one does it quite like WANT Expeditions. More importantly, Jessica Pociask is one of the rare few who can claim the distinguished notoriety for which she has been recognized by major players in the travel industry.

In such a saturated market, WANT Expeditions has successfully, and impressively, snagged the attention and praise for being the premier operator offering trips to remote, exotic and off-the-beaten-path destinations around the globe. And the driving force behind it all? Jessica Pociask – fiercely dedicated owner of WANT Expeditions and the well-accomplished travel expert. Features in world-renowned publications, recipient of highly selective and sought-after awards, prestigious titles – there’s no stopping Pociask on her quest to ensure every guest receives the travel experience of a lifetime.

Pociask is constantly at the forefront of current events involving active travel, wildlife and conservation issues. In November, 2014, Pociask visited Virunga National Park in Africa, and WANT Expeditions was one of the first tour operators on the ground following the reopening of the park’s Nyiragongo Volcano.

It is because of Pociask’s unrelenting perseverance, dedication to conservation, and undying passion for immersive travel that WANT Expeditions has received notable recognition in the travel industry. Recent articles and accolades include:

National Geographic Travel: WANT’s Greenland Traditional Dogsled Expedition selected as one of 2015’s 50 Tours of a Lifetime.

Washington City Paper: Pociask selected as 2015’s Best Travel Agent.

DC Modern Luxury: Pociask profiled as travel expert and entrepreneur to watch.

The Legacy Project: Pociask discusses her definition of success and says, “Success is the culmination of persistent hard work and leaving behind a legacy, and knowing that if you want a “break” in life, you have to make it yourself. If you have a goal, you have to commit to it.”

Misadventures Magazine: In her interview, Pociask says of WANT, “We’re really opening up a new genre of travel for people who are looking for something more – not just a visit to the beach – and we can deliver that because we work intimately with people on the ground – scientists, locals, activists living there.”
