Festival Sponsor Joins Forces with Local Businesses, Donating All Proceeds to CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy
SHERIDAN, Wyo.— The highly-anticipated country music event of the year, Big Horn Country USA Camping & Music Festival, is fast approaching, and event sponsor Tom Balding Bits & Spurs is getting into the festival spirit with a custom creation. The world-renowned bits and spurs maker is producing a pair of custom spurs that will be auctioned off at the event, with all proceeds going to CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy.
Located in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains, Tom Balding Bits & Spurs takes great pride in hand crafting high quality equine riding equipment. All of the bits and spurs shipped around the world are crafted in the Sheridan, Wyoming workshop, and Tom’s products are endorsed by professional riders and trainers throughout the world, including Andrea Fappani, Phil Rapp and Shawn Flarida.
Baskets will include donated items from Black Tooth Brewing, Luminous Brewhouse, The Roast, Twin M Designs, Koltiska, Tom Balding Bits & Spurs, The Chamber and Weston Wineries. Funds raised will go to CHAPS – Children, Horses and Adults in PartnerShip.
Based in Sheridan, Wyoming, CHAPS is a unique and special nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing equine assisted therapy programs and services for people in the community. Founded in 2003, the program was originally established to serve children and adults with special needs, and is currently a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. Over the years, the program has expanded to offer Equine Assisted Activities and Equine Facilitated Learning. Participants include individuals and groups of Veterans from the Sheridan VA Medical Center and at-risk youth from Fort MacKenzie High School.
CHAPS offers vocational rehabilitation training for the Compensated Work Therapy program at the Sheridan VA Medical Center and the Wyoming Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. CHAPS also provides community service opportunities for nonviolent offenders from the Sheridan County Justice System.
Big Horn Country USA delivers a truly star-studded event and gives music fans the chance to see their favorite performers on two stages throughout the four day festival. The festivities begin with the Budweiser Young Guns Kick-Off Party on June 17th in Sheridan, WY. Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased here. 3-Day General Admission tickets are $189 for adults and $79 for ages 3-12; Single Day General Admission tickets for Wednesday are $59 and Single Day General Admission tickets for Thursday, Friday and Saturday are $99 for adults and $49 for ages 3-12; 3-Day Reserved Seating, Gold tickets are $400; 3-Day Reserved Seating, Silver tickets are $350. Camp sites range from $100-225; VIP Firewater Passes are $150 (ticket holders must have a 3-Day pass to purchase VIP tickets).
Big Horn Country USA Camping & Music Festival 2015 will take place RAIN or SHINE. All acts advertised have confirmed their appearance at Big Horn Country USA 2015; however, acts are subject to change without notice. There will be no refunds or exchanges resulting from the failure of any act to appear or be cancelled at the festival. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
