ExperiencePlus! Provides a free tour to deserving teacher
Send a teacher traveling (S.A.T.T.) applications due in February

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The ExperiencePlus! Send a Teacher Traveling Award (S.A.T.T.) recognizes the contribution of outstanding K-12 public school teachers throughout the United States by giving one deserving educator a free bike tour of their choice to one of the company’s unique cycling tour destinations in Europe. Encouraging teachers to participate in educational, active bike travel experiences that they can bring back and share with their students is a core value of this award-winning, family-owned company.

If applying to win a free bike tour through one of Europe’s most beautiful destinations sounds like the perfect getaway, deserving teachers are encouraged to apply for the 2016 S.A.T.T. awards.  Applications are being accepted through the end of February and the deadline is midnight, February 29, 2016.

Since the program began in 1996 the company has given away over 20 free bicycle tours across Europe and South America and ExperiencePlus! is excited and proud to continue this great tradition in 2016. If you know a deserving educator have them submit an application by the last day of February to be considered for this honor.  Complete information about applying can be found at this link http://www.experienceplus.com/about_us/our_style_of_travel/bicycle_tours_for_teachers.html

2015 winner Cate Holland, chose Scotland’s Highlands Coast to Coast ride last summer and reports she plans to use her experience to encourage her students to travel by bicycle.  Her first-hand witness of habitats, culture and scenery will have a much greater impact than teaching from information she shares from books. Cate said her students were extremely impressed with the fact that ExperiencePlus! donated a completely free trip!

ExperiencePlus! provides support to many organizations – from the local, Fort Collins “Bike to Work” program and the local Public Radio to national organizations such as the M.S. Society and Adventure Cycling Association.
