ExperiencePlus! Celebrated “Winter Bike to Work Day,” December 9, 2015
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Fort Collins, designated by the League of American Bicyclists in 2013 as one of only four cities in the United States as a Platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Community, and home to the ExperiencePlus! world headquarters, celebrated its 9th Annual Winter Bike to Work Day on December 9.
Working in partnership with the Fort Collins Food Co-Op, and the Bohemian Foundation, ExperiencePlus! was one of 60 local businesses who sponsored a breakfast station this year. The dedicated ExperiencePlus! staff gladly ventured out into the cold to host one of their favorite community bike activities. Together they laid out a smorgasbord of hot oatmeal, refreshing oranges, energizing Kind bars and hot coffee for over 100 hardy cycling commuters. As a bonus treat, riders also received an ExperiencePlus! pant cuff reflector to encourage safe winter cycling. One of their talented mechanics was also on hand to offer assistance as needed.
Maria Elena Price, ExperiencePlus! co-owner, not only supports bicycle tourism, but also advocates cycling as a viable means of personal transportation, “We enjoy getting out of the office to see all of the enthusiastic bike commuters who brave the cold to show their commitment to cycling! It’s a nice way for us to give back to the community which we believe in.”
