FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The city of Fort Collins, home to the ExperiencePlus! world headquarters, celebrated the 8th Annual Winter Bike to Work Day on December 10, 2014. A little cold didn’t get in the way of the hardy ExperiencePlus! staff bundling up in the pre-dawn to support their favorite winter bike activity. Bike-friendly Colorado celebrates the benefits and fun of community cycling not only in the fair-weather month of June, but also in the magical wintry month of December.
The Colorado staff gears up for the big day by co-hosting the Bike to Work Day breakfast station at 250 E. Mountain Ave in partnership with the Fort Collins Food Co-Op and the Bohemian Foundation. This year’s “Winter Wonderland” menu offered gluten-free beet and green tea muffins complemented by steamy coffee to help riders warm up while mingling amongst the 206 attendees. Christmas tree giveaways were awarded by answering bike safety questions and the lucky winners walked away with ExperiencePlus! cycling pant straps and Food Co-Op goodies including handy travel soaps and edible veggie leathers.
Keep up the training over the winter months by trying out one of our 2015 tours offered in over 22 countries, and we will see you at our next community celebration in the spring!
