Tripsite Announces New
Cycling Adventures for 2018
Columbia, South Africa and Portugal to mention a few
Springville, PA — Tripsite is the comprehensive marketplace for cycling holidays in Europe, Asia & beyond, showcasing hundreds of tours for the discerning cyclist - bike tours, and multi-adventure tours! Many new tours for 2018 are being added to their website each week.
Bike tours can really change the way travelers experience a destination – giving them time to really experience the small details – the way the road bends, the glint of the sun and the smell of flowers or an olive grove. Cycling has become a very popular way to see the world on a slower, more enjoyable pace – not to mention the fact that all that exercise takes away the guilt of a sumptuous meal!
The staff of Tripsite spend their time in the autumn each year adding new itineraries for the upcoming new year. With new destinations in demand, they have fun checking them out personally before recommending them to their clients. Here they announce the new trips on offering for 2018.
In recent years, Colombia has undergone a remarkable transformation – turning the tide on a long-running terrorist insurgency, making great strides in restoring security and stability. It is the only country in South America with coastline on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. In between is a nation of rich biodiversity, including the Amazon rainforest and the Andes Mountains. Colombia is a hidden jewel of South America whose doors are now opening. There is no better way to explore any destination than on two wheels!
Colombia is located at the northern tip of South America. Its landscape is marked by rainforests, Andes mountains and coffee plantations. In the capital, Bogotá, the Zona Rosa district is known for its restaurants and shops. Cartagena; the Caribbean coast has a walled colonial Old Town. Tripsite’s bike and cultural tour in Colombia is about transformation and resurgence and serves up a great diversity of fun experiences. Whether you dance all night at a salsa club, enjoy the freshest cup of coffee you’ve ever had, visit the local markets, pedal past street art, cathedrals, cities and rural roads – Columbia has it all.
Portugal is fast becoming one of the hottest destinations for travelers. The Algarve's beaches are a major destination and much of the nation’s architecture dates to the 1500s–1800s, when Portugal had a powerful maritime empire. Tripsite’s Bike Tour takes riders from Lisbon or Sines to the South of Portugal on this breathtaking bike tour through one of Europe's most preserved regions, the Southeast Alentejo Natural Park in Portugal, which includes wild beaches surrounded by imposing cliffs, small mountain ranges, cork oak groves, traditional fishing villages, spectacular views, and important geographical points. Two options are provided, one, a 10-day tour, in which you begin in Lisbon, and the other, an 8-day tour, in which you overnight in Lisbon and are then transferred to Sines.
